“ Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages”, No it’s not the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, it’s my new web site Hampton Movie Posters. My name is Alan Heimann. I’m a pathologist by trade, however my passion is movies, movie posters and to some degree movie related collectibles. I live part of the time in Westhampton beach, Long Island, New York. Most of my collection is housed there. The main purpose of the website is for me to have some fun with my “hobby” and share with you my knowledge, sometimes painfully gotten, about movie posters. I have friends who in addition to being knowledgeable about movies are equally knowledgeable about other types of collectibles. I will encourage them to participate in future renditions of this web page. One area on the site called the collectors corner will focus on collectibles other than movie posters which I feel might be of interest. As my collection has grown quite large I’ve decided to have a For Sale page. The prices will be realistic. Obviously my livelihood does not depend on movie poster sales. I sincerely hope though you will return to read the articles and not just to see what’s for sale. Credit where credit is due. I could not even dream of putting up a website without a huge amount of technical help. Chiraag Patel and Kevin Neill, two of our pathology residents created the site for me. Hats off to them. So let’s begin. I’m going to write a series of articles entitled “My Favorite… For the first volume I’ve selected my favorite cowboy .
Now I could have grown up to be a cowboy. I was on my way in 1956, and was hitting my stride in 1957 when I picked up my first machine gun. What happened after that? You’ll have to wait for future articles to find out.
